RWE npower Selects Kofax to Enhance Customer Service

Leading U.K. Energy Company to Capture Over Six Million Customer Documents Annually

IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of document driven business process automation solutions, today announced it will provide a comprehensive document capture solution to RWE npower, a leading integrated energy provider based in the United Kingdom and part of the RWE Group, one of Europe?s leading electricity and gas companies. The value of the contract to Kofax is approximately $340,000.
As part of its creation of a state-of-the-art customer contact center, RWE npower will be implementing a complete Kofax solution, including Kofax Capture, Kofax Capture Network Server, Kofax Transformation Modules, Kofax Communication Server and VirtualReScan (VRS) software. The solution will enable the firm to scan, classify and extract data from approximately six million customer documents received annually in paper, fax, e-mail and e-mailed attachment formats. The resulting images and data will be released to its Ceyoniq enterprise content management (ECM) repository as well as its SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, which are located at RWE npower?s data center in Germany. The Kofax software will help RWE npower process documents in a fast, efficient and cost effective manner, and enable the company to more quickly serve the needs of its customers.
